Children’s Science Congress - 2010: Infosys Foundation – ISCA Travel Award

 

 

With a donation from Infosys Foundation, Bangalore, the Indian Science Congress Association has instituted the “Infosys Foundation – ISCA Travel Award” which will be given annually to FIVE students during the Annual Session of the Indian Science Congress Association. The awardees will be paid TA (AC III – tire/Chair Car Train Fare), and local hospitality for attending the Science Congress Session.

 

The selection of the awardees will be made by a committee of experts on the basis of a write-up on the topic: “What developments in Science during the last two years have influenced him/her and why?”

 

Students studying in the 10th, 11th and 12th Standards (all streams/categories) are eligible submit the write-up prepared in English, not exceeding 1500 words. The article should be original and those with any kind of plagiarism will be rejected.

 

A student is eligible to submit only ONE essay. Authors of the BEST FIVE essays will be invited to attend the Children’s Science Congress - 2010 and make a presentation.

 

First page of the essay should contain the following details.

 

Topic:

Name of the student:

Category: State/CBSE/ISC/Other (provide details if you belong to ‘Other’ category)

Standard in which the student is studying:

School Address (Including the student’s class/division)

Residential Address

Telephone Numbers

E-Mail address

Name, Address and telephone number of the Class Teacher or Head of the Institution

 

Submission should be made through E-Mail: The essay may be prepared in simple text form (.txt) using Notepad/WordPad (Windows)/Vi editor (Linux) or using Microsoft Office Word (excluding MS Word 2007), LaTeX or PDF. If using a word processor, prepare the article in Times Roman (12 point) font and Single-spacing. The essay should be attached as a separate document in the E-mail and send to rkvs@isc2010.in .
