VIGYAN SANCHARAK SAMMELAN
The Session for
science communicators and journalists concurrent with the Annual Session of
the Indian Science Congress in the last two years has been a success. The
format is getting accepted in the ISCA Chapters also. This Sammelan will
focus on the theme “Advances in Science Journalism - Role of Space
Science and Technology” which will encourage radio, TV and print media
communicators to share their experiences in consonance with the delegates of
the Annual session of ISCA. Participation is invited from outstanding
academics, activists, journalists, film makers, communicators, etc., not
necessarily members of the Indian Science Congress Association.
Abstract of 100
words along with a brief bio-data must reach the Local Chapter of ISCA
before 10th October 2009. A peer group will select promising papers. Short
listed entries will be invited to submit a full paper. Fellowship will
include travel support to Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala in January 2010 and
registration fees for participation in the 97th Annual Session of The Indian
Science Congress. Edited proceedings of full papers will be brought out.
Some entries may be selected for poster presentation and others for oral
presentation.
